There are a few things that can trigger the alarm light on your pH Tek.
pH -Tek Not Resetting– Variable speed filters/pumps runs constant which will cause the pH Tek to continually monitor and dose pH into the system. Whereas a single stage filter/pump actually shuts down turning off and resetting the pH-Tek. The pH-Tek has a built in safety to prevent it from over dosing. If the pH-Tek doses more than one liter of acid before being reset, the alarm light will come on and the pH-Tek will stop working until it is reset.
Acid Solution is too diluted – If the acid is too diluted it will cause the pH-Tek to continually dose without impacting the pH of the water. If the pH-Tek doses more than one liter before being reset, the alarm light will come on and the pH-Tek will stop working until it is reset.
Unit is not wired to the pump correctly – The pH-Tek must turn off when the pump turns off to reset the alarm timer.
